Comments: The Bipolar Child: Backlash In Boston
From the Boston Globe article: "Biederman's boss said he does not believe the money affects Biederman's judgment." Can't argue with that! Case closed. No conflict of interest there.

Did I miss the part in the article where it said Biederman,Wozniak and Geller were all on the Advisor/Board at CABF bp kids dot org? One of the most influential websites for parents seeking help about bipolar kids and psych meds? Dr. Jon McClellan [Wa] spoke out about this in a 2005 article In the Wa Post "Going to Extremes" 2005, which references these people and CABF. McClellan is an expert I have some background with, and he is the one to listen to here, regarding diagnosing kids with bipolar disorder.

Why, that sounds like Narcissistic personality disorder.
From our friend the DSM IV:
1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance
2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by other special people
4. requires excessive admiration
5. strong sense of entitlement
6. takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
7. lacks empathy
8. is often envious or believes others are envious of him or her
9. arrogant affect.
Unfortunately, the prognosis is poor.
