We've been talking about this over at Highbrid Nation. Anna Nicole's life had so many ups and down. Imagine losing a son and gaining a daughter within day of one another. Not too surprised about the drugs thing though. What did people think the autopsy would say?

I question antidepressants or any other psychiatric medication being given to women after child birth.
Hormonal imbalances in women, are over-looked and in my opinion, cannot be corrected with quick-fix psychiatric medications. I am not surprised Anna is dead as a result, and how tragic is this? beyond tragic.
I also like your idea of "Mental Health in the Media: read and think for yourself" idea.
Though, I must say, I am pretty sure people read your site, because you are able to pick apart mental health issues in the media with accurate and reliable commentary.

I was just outside sweeping moss from my patio, and remembered when my Grandmother saw me hosing down the patio, with [water].
She said: "The hose is a lazy man's broom."
I have a thought regarding the media mental madness idea. Some people need that. They do not research or read purposely, even though they deem it important to them; they rely on the media for reporting "what they should know."
I assume this blog has become a sort of media reporting blog on mental health issues, that others rely upon for their information.
Being that you are an award winning investigative journalist in the mental health world[among other writings]I believe this has become a good place for people to start to rely on your commentary when they may find that same article; and not know what to make of it.
I believe your blog is unique in the sense that you do not hose down the patio with links to news; you take the news, and brush it off, and are able to do so while still leaving the reader with ability to form own their opinion.
This is why you have so many comments that are excellent off-shoot comments from your posts.
I will be interested to see how the "Think for Yourself" idea works.
