Comments: Cymbalta, The Good And The Bad

Since you're always looking for anectodal evidence about various drugs I thought I'd turn you and your readers onto a very informative (mostly anecdotal) website about med side effects. Here you can learn about all sorts of weird but somewhat common side effects that doctors have never heard of. Check out the message board in particular. The site is a bit chaotic but once you get used to it, it's really quite useful.

i have been on the stuff for about 8 months...in the beginning it messed with my mood, but it has stablilized. i believe that a lot of people don't understand how bad their anxiety or depression is and then use the drug as an excuse to rationalize the symptoms they've had...so that they don't have to admit that they are feeling a way since their brains chemicals are jaded. plain and simple, i am on 30mg once a day and it just makes life seem normal. i don't know if i will stop the stuff because why change something good?

I have been taking Cymbalta for over 3 months now, and it has totally changed my life. In a positive way. I have never had so much energy in my life. And my fear of death every second of the day has gone completley. I am finally not scared of everything, including leaving my house. I can live now.

I was just prescribed Cymbalta for depression (issues with money, loss of an infant child, and realtionship problems). I just wanted to say thank you for giving me both the pro's and con's since the only thing you will find online are PRO-Cymbalta websites that make it the miracle drug. Wish me luck.
