Comments: The Price of Going Off Meds is Too High
Yes, exactly. My daughter has paid a price too high. Priceless are the days we laughed and went to the library, lost in front of me, my daughter.Doctor said she didnt need the meds, no meds were needed, what freedom she felt, sure she would now have happiness without clouds. Seven months later, now back on meds, and seven months lost, including a milestone birthday spent alone in a county mental hospital as a gift from the State for turning 18 years old, she will be coming home from a virtual nightmare not known to many people, hard to comprehend, and a world waiting for her that is going to be hard to come back into, once on meds, dare to go off, needed or not, from what starting point medication entered lives, mind altering chemicals are mind altering chemicals. Chicken before the egg thing. One thing I know, is that my daughter suffered at the hands of a doctor who offered a young girl freedom from medication, and hope for a med free future, wow that's quite an offer. The pain and suffering as a result was not worth the reckless endangerment of her life, her mind, her esteem, her lost Senior year in High school, her lost birthday on New Year's eve. Rewind the tape please.
