Amen. I've lived up here six years now, and I swear the most common statement about the weather is "it's not usually like this." And you forgot the massive windstorm that knocked out power for everybody a couple of winters ago...

Lived here for 20 yrs, nothing like this ever. One or 2 summers of 101 degrees back in 1990. Then there's the artic blast(blizzard) dec '90 that dumped several feet of snow, shutting down everything suddenly, and the Thanksgiving of '90 rain/power outage and the I-90 floating bridge SANK.
Let's hope winter doesnt follow up this hot summer with that kind of winter again!

That is global warming for you. The temperature extremes and other extreme events are going to become more frequent. So, be ready for more records.
