Comments: Lexapro, Celexa For Kids Scandal Widens, Harvard Prof. Helped Promote Off-Label Use
There's another footnote to all this. A former top gun at Forest Pharmaceuticals, maybe even an ex-Pres, named Phil Satow, lost a son to suicide. He and his wife deny that the son was medicated, at least at the time of death, but I really have to wonder with all that access to "wonder drugs." Here's betting he was on something at some point during his teen years. Anyway Phil and his wife set up a Foundation in memory of their son called the Jed Foundation and it pushes depression screening and treatment in a big way. Ugh! And guess who's on the advisory board? Martin Keller, among other illustrious KOLs, in the field of psychiatry.

Biederman-Bostic. It sounds like a fucking venereal disease, involving as it does a pair of useless pricks, by the look of things.

Celexa is a lame drug. I rememebr back when I was on it, the entire time I felt like shit. Then when I got off it I felt great and things picked up and were awesome. I was on a bunch of antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants and more and a teenager and pre-teen. None of that stuff actually helped.

My late aunt was probably drugged to death by her drug detailer husband. He supplied her with unlimited and ever increasing quantities of barbituates, despite knowing she was an addict. She eventually died of an overdose in her sleep.
And yes, I know it was her responsibility to clean up her act. But I also have a friend who works in her family's pharmacy and I can tell you "controlled" drugs are not very well controlled.
