Comments: George Carlin
Carlin was amazing, as he was right on the mark on so many issues.
My favorite bit: the end of his 1996 show Back In Town, where he ended about politics:
...maybe it's not the politicians who suck, maybe it's something else, like the public. Yeah, there's a campaign slogan, the public sucks, F---hope!
right on the money with me!
He'll be missed!

A wonderful sentiment for an extremely talented man!

One of my favourite Carlin rants concerned his musings on the stuff he'd like to see developed (he declared that he was ahead of his time, but regrettably only by about 2 minutes!). I can't remember all of it, by any stretch of the imagination, but he said that he wanted to develop a feminine hygiene spray, which would be marketed as "Sprunt," which is just pure Carlin. And, then, he came up with something uber surreal, in the shape of a lightbulb that only shone on the things that one wanted to see - although he dismissed that as too idealistic!
Somebody should get a bronze cast of the guy, and erect it in a shopping mall!

I, too, loved Carlin. It's really a shame that he never set his sights on the psychiatric industry. He would have slaughtered.

You know, he's been gone 4 days now and I am still very bummed. He was a funny guy, because he knew how to mix the truth with sarcasm and silliness.
Buy his box set "All my stuff". It's great stuff! I was lucky to see him do a show in my home town a few months ago.
He will be missed. I know I said it before.

i just loved him because he said what i always wanted to, and more.

I consider him a prophet for our times, frankly. Like most prophets, of course, we mostly missed hearing what he had to say because our antennae were turned to the wrong channel. I say "we" because I can try on a lot of what he had to say and find (to my dismay) that it fits. Except for the shopping mall stuff. I abhor shopping malls.
