Comments: Off Meds Update #3, And Thanks
Wow-- that is fantastic that you feel great, and how ironic indeed. Congratulations!
As far as readership--you've been ripping it up here for a month with excellent writing, no doubt that is why--lots of diverse topics, yet remaining with your focus audience of readers, and able to draw in new readers with different angles, it's what a new world news blog is supposed to do and you've done it. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the Zyprexa Chronicles and Childhood Bipolar Disorder investigation.Cheers!

Yahoots, good job.
We are conducting an experiment with an N=1. And that's the only sample size that matters.
Spot on. Glad to hear you're in good hands, and cautious about the future. You're not locking yourself in like some rigid poster boy with a *stance*. Free people change their minds all the time.

A couple of years ago, my daughter was "tried on" Lamictal for bipolar depression - it had recently been approved for this. Needless to say, catastrophe ensued with her hormonal system. Every month between periods, she became suicidal. She got hot flashes. Just a mess. Finally, she started tapering off, slowly. Well, with each 25 mg. reduced, she became acutely suicidal. Finally, coming off the drug had to happen in the hospital. We put in a report to Medwatch, and sent a detailed report to Glaxo. Funny how none of this has ever appeared in Glaxo's side effects' literature.
