January 05, 2010Comments To FDA On ECT Due January 8As most of you know, the FDA is poised to approve ECT devices as "safe" without forcing their manufacturers to prove that point with the usual clinical trials. That's right: the geniuses at the FDA have allowed these devices to marketed, under some crazy exemption, for decades without requiring clinical trials. Regardless of your personal feelings about ECT, I think we can all agree that not requiring safety trials is complete BS. The FDA is taking comments from the public on ECT devices, but you only have until January 8 (this Friday) to tell the agency what you think. There's much more information on all of this, including contact information, at PsychRights. Posted by Philip Dawdy at January 5, 2010 12:29 PM

> I think we can all agree Just because you God-Hating, America-Bashing, Freedom-Destroying, Capitalism-Fearing Turncoats and Traitors want to remove White Christian Amercians (and the women who love them) from Health, Prosperity and Virtual is no reason to suddenly decide that the ECT machines that've helped so many for so long should suddenly, and without any scientific basis whatsoever, have to demonstrate safety and efficacy using rigorous trials. Next thing, you'll want toxic chemicals to prove their safety and efficacy as herbicides, pesticides before marketing for wide-scale use in the un-controlled environment of farms and fields. Damn socialists do that. Why do you hate America and Capitalism and God and Country?
