A Small Announcement

For the next three weeks I will be working as a reporter once again in Seattle for the Seattle Post Globe, a news website that sprang up following the closure of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in March. The pay isn't good, but I'm willing to roll the dice on the future and work damn hard to see that the Post Globe succeeds.

This does not mean that this site is going away. What it does mean is that I will be struggling to find a balance between doing two jobs at the same time. Hopefully, I can find said balance and not end up in a puddle at the end of July.

Congratulations!, Philip. That's great news, and I'm sure you'll balance it the way you did while at your previous job. I would suggest getting a Twitter account, and using it to load up links to your articles here each time you write one. It'll boost your readership and sustain it while you work outside work, and of course you can TinyURL that there too.

It's where readers can find Pharmalot has gone, (and returned)and other users, readers are familiar with, Dr. Carlat, Bremner, John Mack, Fierce Pharma, you name it, we're all in there and the mental health news group would love to find Furious Seasons coming through the Tweets! I would!

PS- Seattle Post Globe is using Twitter so your story there is already being seen by more ppl.

I am very happy for you. You do work "damn hard", and deserve all the success in the world.

Why don't you let the office assistants run the site while you are gone, take messages and post comments- time those fuzz balls worked hard for their Friskies. They can do that between naps, of course.

Good for you, Philip! Take good care of yourself during this stressful and exciting opportunity, and know that we are here, rooting for you!

No "Philip Dawdy" listed.

If they don't pay, don't work for them.

Great news! So glad to hear that you will be working and as a reporter. As a regular reader of this site, I know you're a skilled/talented researcher and writer.

Best of luck in the coming weeks.

I'm really happy for you Philip. When I read the article about Stuart I just knew you needed to be out there reporting and investigating again on a wide variety of topics. Good Luck. I really hope it leads to fruitful things for you.

Most excellent news! Congrats from myself and certainly thousands of others. It sure is nice when a real journalist gets a job in journalism - what a wild idea.

Cheers,
sln
