May 09, 2009SteveB, DavidB BannedThis post is directed at the commenter who recently used the handles SteveB and DavidB: Cease and desist from commenting on this site. You are banned for attacking me personally a couple of weeks ago, so stop changing your name and IP address and coming back to play games again. I'll eventually figure out who you are each time and remove your comments and ban you all over again. Sorry to trouble the rest of you with this, but the guy refuses to use a valid email address, so this is my best way to tell him to stay off this site. Posted by Philip Dawdy at May 9, 2009 06:04 PM

Nobody's yet taken me up on the offer (though several people have had the same issue that you have, here), but I'll make it again. If you want to "outsource" responses to troll-type comments, I'm happy to oblige. Matt Posted by: Matthew Holford at May 10, 2009 08:55 AMThank you. Anyone arguing that prolonged QT intervals are a GOOD thing (WTF) obviously knows nothing about the medicine or science that he claims to be supporting. Long QT interval = sudden cardiac death. What I find almost too ironic is that anxiety/panic and/or depression, which cause psychosomatic heart symptoms (meaning that nothing is essentially wrong with your heart itself), are now being treated with meds that cause ACTUAL FUCKING HEART DISEASE including sudden cardiac death. Bizarro world much? Posted by: Seth at May 10, 2009 10:52 AMI missed the controversy over his posts, but I'm curious how, "Long QT interval = sudden cardiac death." I'm a nurse practitioner experienced with different medications and their side effects, and there are many will prolong the QT interval. It's quite common. Is there something special about the specific medications discussed here? Any links or references would be appreciated. Thanks! Posted by: paul davidson at May 10, 2009 02:04 PMDon't let this guy vex you, Philip. He is nothing more than a coward. Posted by: Dan Abshear at May 10, 2009 02:51 PMDoesn't your server also log by MAC address? Philip Dawdy responds: i have no idea what MAC is. what is it? Posted by: Tony at May 10, 2009 07:36 PMMAC is the "unique" identifier of your network card or device. It can easily be spoofed with a modicum of knowledge, however.
