Winter Fundraiser, Day 10

Another $145 came in yesterday, bringing the total raised so far to $1,531.26, leaving $1,468.74 to go by about Dec. 15 to reach the overall goal of $3,000. Thanks to the 47 people who've contributed so far.

Let me level with you all: this fundraiser is going slower than I had hoped. Yes, I know the economy is a mess, but there is nothing better than the power of a whole bunch of people chipping in to fix a mess. And this site has a whole bunch of people who red it each and every day. Well over 1,200 people read this site yesterday, but only a few contributed. That's got to change.

I already subsidize this site with other freelance work I scrape up here and there, but there's only so much of that I can do or justify. The reality of things is that the rest of you need to step up and support this site. If you don't, then I cannot justify doing it anymore. And I know there are plenty of people who write me each day to thank me for this or that issue I've addressed or for helping them get off a bad medication which has hurt them, but they'll give their local barista or bartender a buck before they'll offer a nickel here. I appreciate that sort of thing but the thing is it costs me time and money to run this website.

Without your support, I simple cannot continue. So please contribute today.

Thanks.

You have twenty-five $ coming by snail mail from Boston as of this afternoon.

Despite being a student etc, I'm going to try my damned best to contribute to every future fundraiser, because you work too damn hard and your work is too damned important.

A donation to support Phil Dawdy's continuing efforts to bring us fact based reporting and cogent analysis is not a lot to ask. Imagine what we would lose if one morning we clicked Furious Seasons and found it was gone.

Phillip gives so much of himself. Let us all give a little of ourselves by donating.

Yes, I'm sure Philip will take cash in the mail so no credit card or no banking account is not really an excuse. Send him a few greenbacks in the mail -- anything to keep the site going. And regular readers, please pony up. I'm still hoping we are going to get to see that picture of Philip and the pony if there's a last burst to the fundraiser.

Your twenty-five$ has been sent. Unfortunately, the shipping time is about 3 days. Haha, but better late than never when it comes to money.

Thanks Philip.

It's not much, but I sent a little something your way. I wish I had more to give. Your site is part of my reader--I think it's a necessary read for anyone with bipolar disorder, like myself. I hope you reach your goal.

I sent. The cat sent.

I want to see the baby Dawdys' on the pony!

Philip, I will make a deal with you. You clear your goal and i will print on my blog my pony story which is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me either as a child or an adult.

It's so embarrassing I have never repeated it to another person.

Deal?
