Glad That's Over

As I'm sure many of you suspect, uber liberal Seattle was a bit of a party last night and yours truly is extremely hungover today. I'll catch up with posts in the morning.

Be well.

Obama!

Dear Philip:

I wish I could say this was a good day; but I honestly can't do that! I can only wish this hangover isn't one that last longer than four years. Big Pharma has won again, which is no surprise actually.

Yours Truly,
Stan

Somebody really needs to abolish your USA "don't treat keep money for shareholders private insurance companies" system, and bring in universal health care like most developed nations have. Maybe Obama will, maybe he just couldn't say so for fear of the power of lobbyists during the campaign? - to use two of his favourite words - we can hope for such change. He at least has a mandate for "change" and appears to be light years ahead of Bush in all beneficial human qualities.

It's a new day. I hope your head is better.

Do the cat's treading on the floors still sound like elephants?

I'm afraid I'm with Stan, though I wish it didn't have to be. Obama is corporate, took big Phrma money, and encouraged many of the original nay sayers in Congress to vote yes for the giant, our tax dollars, Wall St. giveaway. He promised our new Congresswoman, for instance, that he would help her with the biggest problem in our congressional district, which is foreclosures. And he had an intern from J and J as a staffer in the Health area in his Washington office.

I supported him, but only in a lesser of two evils way.

Yes indeed, thank god that's over. All night dancing in the American streets, everybody hugging and crying. Ever seen that before? Think any one of us will ever again?

No matter who was voted in, all politics aside:

what i loved witnessing was watching someone achieve their dream of a lifetime as it happened.
