Dang it doesn't seem like it's been a year since that happened. I guess time flew by.

I am always filled with sadness when I think of the 33 lives that were lost that day.

That being said, I want to comment that Cho certainly didn't exhibit selective mutism in the video he sent to NBC. His "pressured speech" was unbelievable. He ranted & raved and talked a mile a minute. Pressured speech is one of the criteria for mania. His parents and sister said they didn't know who he was after viewing this video.

Of course, everyone knows about the New York Times article on the roomate who observed Cho swallowing his prescription medication the morning of the rampage. Also, everyone knows that the toxicology report was never released except for the statement that the drugs he was taking would not have caused "this". And we all know that the medical records for Cho went missing from the Virginia Tech Health Center.

But I bet that few people know that on Tuesday, April 17, Newday.com wrote in paragraph 9 of an article on the tragedy: "Investigators believe Cho at some point had been taking medication for depression. They are examing Cho's computer for more evidence".

Two days later these two sentences were eliminated from this article. Sure would like to have a hard copy of the original.
