Second Anniversary

Today marks the second anniversary of this blog and this post is the 1,000th post on the blog. My friend and sometime contributor Puckett has written a half-dozen or so posts. The rest are mine. That works out to about an average of 2 posts a day, allowing for weekends, holidays and a few days of slackerness here and there (hey, I've had a day job much of the time!). More surprising to me is that this blog is at 4,100-plus comments, or about four comments per post (although most of them have come in 2007). I thank you all for your interest in what I write. It's humbling in ways I don't have words for.

In other news, I'll soon have an announcement about the future of this site.

I think you honored me twice with two of my articles. I know I was over the moon to see em here.

Happy Happy anniversary. Check your mail for cyber cake, champers, and cigars.

Well hell, please don't ever post the number count of my comments. Congratulations. Do we get paid for commenting? ha

Congrulations -- two years is a huge commitment. I know it's tough to make yourself write everyday, particularly when you don't always have pleasant things to write about. I appreciate your thoughts and the effort you go to in order to look into things and present them here. I'd probably never do it myself, but you give me lots to think about and have caused me to take action in my own little world more than once. Keep at it. You're doing a great thing.

Congratulations on your tireless dedication to putting out some really insightful stuff on these issues. I have learned so much here and been inspired. (I've also welcomed the opportunity to spout off as many have observed I'm sure.) I wish you the best of luck in turning this into something by which you can really move on and grow.
