Brains Of Conservatives And Liberals Work Differently

Apparently, the liberal brain is more open to ambiguity while conservatives are not. Or so says a new study in Nature Neuroscience. So I think the appropriate solution here is to medicate the liberals. Or maybe the conservatives. I don't know. I'm kind of feeling ambiguous about the whole thing.

So they did a study and found that some people are better at telling Ms from Ws when flashed on a screen, and from that they deduce that one group can handle more complex political thought.

Maybe medicate the people who did the study, too.

Does this mean if I can't decide which party, repubs or dems, is the least reprehensible, I should get an MRI because maybe I have political agnosia?

So wait ... what does it mean if I'm indifferent to the ambiguity and apathetic about the study?

Ha! as the liberal offspring of two hardcore conservatives, I can assure you that our minds work way differently...and that not every human personality trait or quirk is the result of genetics. Environment is tres important, case in point: I had some great liberal teachers and friends who taught me how to appreciate ambiguity, critical thinking, and questioning authority.
