August 27, 2007Search TermsSince it's a slow week, I thought I'd let readers know about what search terms drive non-regulars to this site. I am fascinated by peoples' searches because it tells me a lot about what's going on in the mental health world, at least on the patient end of things. Over the last month, I've gotten a couple of hundred visitors looking for information about "lamictal withdrawal." People put that search in Google and I come up as one of the top hits. Same thing with adhdroadmap.com. People go to the 'Net after seeing an add for that site, pump in that term and I come up again as a top search. The nice folks at Shire ought to know that people aren't just going to their site, but are looking for skeptical information. Interestingly, there haven't been so many Cymbalta searchers of late, but there sure have been a lot of ones for "snorting Seroquel." Fascinating stuff, I know. Or maybe not. SNORTING Seroquel? That never even crossed my mind (snorting doesn't in general, actually)...but that's so funny! Now it makes me wonder...what happens when you DO snort Seroquel??? Posted by: KansasSunflower at August 27, 2007 05:07 PMSeroquel withdrawals, nightmares and snorting are my top google searches, every single day. Here's one my posts that has some of Philip's "Q Ball" info too. Maybe we should all thank AstraZeneca for such a wonder drug. It's all purpose! Legally Bombed Posted by: Stephany at August 27, 2007 07:58 PMLamictal withdrawal/side effects is how I found your site a few months ago, I had just started on the drug and was desperate for a first person narrative on the pros and cons of the substance, not just what doctors and drug companies want you to hear Posted by: Abby at August 28, 2007 06:35 AMOH yeah, snorting seroquel, we get that a lot, street value of seroquel and seroquel + date rape. It's a daily thing. Posted by: d at September 2, 2007 07:00 AMI think it's rediculous all these people snorting Seroquel. The "calming" affects of Seroquel do not increase between 175mg and 1200mg. The "buzz" that people feel are just the histamines being blocked. Snorting 200mg of Seroquel is the same as orally ingesting 200mg. It may work a little faster, but really, If you are truly bi-polar manic, you have lots of time, you can wait the extra 20 minutes. Besides, is the drip, irritation, and nasty taste worth it? Posted by: Thom Di Pol at September 7, 2007 09:51 AMSo how much per unit is it worth on da' tuff streets? (colloquial spelling alterations added for empahsis) Posted by: s at April 16, 2008 09:26 PMHey I do have Bi-polar issuses and do take Seroquel, in terms of snorting it, PLEASE dont. It is a sedative and even with my manic bi-polar dissorder I get a huge calm by simply taking it oraly, if you cant wait 10 mins for it to absorb in your tummy then leave the medication alone.
first of all i have been prosicbed seroquel for bi polor reasons and sleep. i will say it gives you the best sleep ever but as far as snorting it well i just did and honestly all it did was make nose clog up faster than it ever has. and i have snorted other pills its not just cuz i snorted it. i tryed it becuase i have to go to bed for work in the morning and waiting the 40 min for them to kick in is to long id rather wait 5(wouldnt we all) in all honesty i say dont do it to get high do it if needed but dont snort them or you wont be able to breath and now i gotta fall alseep with my mouth open Posted by: piro352 at December 3, 2009 08:14 PMI have had luck with seroquel in the past @ around 300MG.. Now i'm taking up to 900MG a night and i'm having no results AT ALL. I still am awake for hours, there's nothing I can do about it, and it seems liek either the seroquel given to me was a placebo or i'm just fucked up to be able to take 900MG of seroquel and not even get a snooze. any ideas? my psychd is a county psyd so he doesn't want to put me on a sleeping medication and my seroquel, so I really don't know what to do. My sleep is VERY important to me. I am very stressed and wound up as it is, I have constant thoughts I can't stop and the seroquel isn't helping like it used to. Do you think it's possible to build up a seroquel tolerance within a week ? Posted by: mike at December 13, 2009 11:38 PMMike, Are you on anything else or have you been recently? Like a benzo by any chance? Posted by: Sara at December 14, 2009 07:47 AMMike, Seroquel is actually more sedating at lower doses than higher ones. The higher doses is where it starts acting as an antipsychotic. The lower doses it is an extremely strong antihistamine. Posted by: kimbriel at December 14, 2009 04:50 PMPost a comment
