Let's Steal Psych Meds

Someone down South stole a semi-truck filled with prescription meds including Lamictal, Paxil and Wellbutrin. There's a black market in these drugs? Yikes. Who the hell would buy Paxil from a dealer? Is this some kind of response to the lack of insurance millions of Americans face? All I know is we sure live in a strange country.

Maybe it's a new anti-psych med group, to keep the meds off the market. You know, like those environmental types that chain themselves to trees and save the whales and all.

Any chance some of these meds contain the critical ingredient for meth production? Don't know but that might be one explanation for stealing this stuff.

I don't know how much it runs now, but 4 years ago I had to go off Lamictal when my sample pack ran out because 100mg/day ran $500/month. This would have eaten up my Rx coverage w/in 2 months.

Justme hit it on the head. If I knew it was real, I'd buy Lamictal on the street. In case I ever lose insurance again, I want a stash large enough to allow me to wean off very gradually.

I have stock piled Lamictal samples from Pharma reps from my psychiatrist to save money.I have enough for a year. Anyone who sees a psych that has pharma reps visit--as much as I am a anti-everything at some point in opinion--I say take the samples and use em.

I live in NZ where meds are near free if your not working-I sent over a couple of 100 prozac for freind in the USA. he couldnt afford them-
Was like sending coal to Newcastle.

Ditto some of the above. I'm sure whoever it was could make a pretty nice killing on the black market. Think cheap meds from Canada.

All I know is that I was on Wellbutrin and it was interacting with some antifungal that makes Wellbutrin levels go sky high and I was getting high as a kite on Wellbutrin. Plus nothing has helped my OCD as much as that high Wellbutrin dose did and it's not even supposed to work for OCD. It was like I was having so much the last thing I wanted to do was obsess. Too bad my blood pressure went high so I had to go off of it. Plus I was shaking but having so much fun I didn't care. I wonder if this is what mania is like? Why do we think that recreational drugs are ok but the psych drugs are terrible? Hey they are all just drugs and they all give you a sort of a high in a way. I'm on 25mg Seroquel right now and loving it! It often feels like I am kind of stoned or drunk-like for around 12 hours after I take it, but I like to get high, so that is fine.
