May 29, 2007The Zyprexa Chronicles: Editing WikipediaI recently took a look at the Wikipedia entry on Zyprexa and it struck me as being a bit thin and unbalanced. For example, the entry makes the PRIME study almost sound like it was a success. I'm wondering if we cannot all get together and come up with some additions and/or changes for the Zyprexa entry. yes a scientific POV ( they use POV on wiki=point of view) would be great. I'm in. Posted by: Mark(p.s.2) at May 30, 2007 05:14 AM1. I would like to see a more defined list of side effects, that include psychiatric side effects, and paradoxical ones as well.[ZYprexa does create mania and insomnia in some patients, along with increased agitation and aggression, especially at higher doses.] 2. Under "controversy" I would suggest that Furious Seasons gather all "Zyprexa Chronicles" into a stand alone series, and add the link to those posts, including a statement that this blog links to the Zyprexa documents. 3. I would like to see the entry address Zyprexa use in children under age 18, and most importantly small children, ages 8-12, and how they gain weight as a growing child, and are faced with possible negative outcomes for their entire lives as a result of using Zyprexa.[weight gain, diabetes, brain development, etc.] 4. I would also like to see a section on neuroleptic withdrawals, how to remove the medication and what happens if one does this without tapering slowly; along with possible permanent neuroleptic withdrawal-induced psychosis as a possible outcome.
