The Weirdness Of The Blakemore-Brown Case

I have briefly mentioned recently the very odd case surrounding Lisa Blakemore-Brown, a psychologist in the UK. She's been the object of what Americans would call a fitness-for-duty evaluation. Her supporters claim this is because she challenged a psych diagnosis and the jail sentences handed down to people based on that diagnosis. She's also been vocal in her views on the possible connection between vaccines and mental disorders such as autism. She is currently being looked into by the British Psychological Society, apparently as payback for her stands. Her supporters say she is a victim of academic stalking, or academic persecution as we might term it on these shores.

The BPS has been fairly mum on the case, preferring instead to jam up Blakemore-Brown in secret proceedings. Or a Star Chamber, as the classic term would have it.

I have obtained a copy of the transcript of a hearing the BPS held on the psychologist this past summer. It is fascinating reading--and very, very weird stuff. I have posted it on my site right here.

I do not know how you came by this but I can confirm that it is an authentic document, and that it supports the view that this was an unusual and untoward process.

Thank you for this post.

.."She's also been vocal in her views on the possible connection between vaccines and mental disorders such as autism."

She is my hero.

As an outspoken advocate, I must say, that this is intense, yet not surprising. During my personal advocating for my family member, I was questioned, grilled, publicly humiliated, and referred to see a therapist, as a result of my being vocal, against mainstream psychiatric belief system(here, in the USA).
Reading this makes me say one thing: thank God I am not a professional, because the way 'they' tried to take me down on a personal level; most likely would have been on a professional level if there was that opportunity.

I must also add, that the autism/vaccine theory is controversial, and I am not convinced it should be thrown out in discussion.

Another great post Philip. Aubrey Blumsohn over at the Scientific Misconduct Blog has several great comments on this case.

You should read about the case of the British Psychological Society and the mysterious tea-drinking episode.

Tea Drinking

The BPS is a corrupt narrow minded organisation. Psychologists and psychiatrists used to be an enlightened group in the West - no more.

Since 1960's nurses were taught that vaccines can cause brain damage.

So why all these denials?

Similarly whistleblowers are dubbed as suffering from mental illness.

Just like the totalitarian regime in Old Russia.

Even Priests were persecuted and sent to the salt mines for their belief in the existence of God.

The GMC has been likened to a Totalitarian organisation on more than one occasion.

Corrupt screeners allow senior doctors who are dangerous practitioners off scott free.

Yes it does sound incredible but I can prove it.

Why have you only posted one part of the transcript? It clearly shows that there's a lot you haven't posted. Can we see the rest of the hearing please?
