The Cure Is Upon Us

Good news! Havidol, it has been announced, will cure the never-before-known, but highly-prevalent Dysphoric Social Attention Consumption Deficit Anxiety Disorder (DSACDAD). Take this self-assessment test right now.

OK, it's a gag and thanks to Vaughn at Mind Hacks for posting it. With a fabulous new drug like this on the market, I really have to re-think my life: should I become an academic psych researcher and make loads of money testing this drug for every possible DSM condition, or should I just cut to the chase and go to work as a sales rep for Havidol's maker and market the drug for off-label uses? Decisions.

That was incredibly retarded.

"ZING SELF ASSESSMENT RESULTS

Your score is 46.
If your score falls between 40-60 you should see your doctor immediately.

If your score is between 30-40 you may be on the brink of succumbing to DSACDAD. Be aware of this possibility and be prepared by discussing your options with your doctor.

If your score falls between 15-30 take a moment to check in with yourself. Determine if you are answering as truthfully as possible. It's okay to need help. And thankfully help is available. "

The questions were so base it was like something off of blogthings.com.

I mean, really, these questions are SO retarded:

"Multitasking makes me feel powerful" - No shit. You can be normal and this happens.

"I am impatient if I feel I am not my best" - No really? All Americans must have this disorder.

"I don't feel as young as I used to be" - I feel so bad for those who aren't the same age every year.

"I constantly feel I need to improve myself" - Damn the people who aren't lazy!

"I care more about others than myself" - Yes, selfless, generous people have a mental illness. Oh this is goood.

"I enjoy new things more than used ones" - This called ADHD now. Please see Concerta, thankyouverymuch.

"I measure my happiness by my achievements and possessions" I think we're onto something here. Paris Hilton... Lindsay Lohan...

"Life seems better when I have more than others" Paris Hilton... Lindsay Lohan...

"I enjoy my life more when someone else is watching" Reality TV show SUCKERS!!!

"People look at me with envy" Paris Hilton... Lindsay Lohan...

"I stress for success" - Damn overachievers!

"I like to feel special" - *laughs* *hysterically*

This becoming an entry on my blog now. This is too hilarious. Notice that Havidol is very much like "Have it all"? I don't think that's coincidence, my friend.
