I abuse him so much. But he loves me, and I love him, and we have such a great relationship. I could say whatever I want, and it's all good.

Psychiatrists get paychecks. I admire the ones who spend genuine time with their patients.

My psychiatrist definatley spends genuine time with me. In fact, he spends too much genuine time. I see him for an hour once a week, and we have so much fun! I always beat him in chess. Once I beat him in only four moves (I learn from my brother who is the chess master in our family). He was stunned. But he's more stunned when we play SET. Ever play? It's this card game -- on each card there is a different symbol, in a different color, in a differnt number, and you have to find patterns within the cards. It's a very visual-spacial game. He could do it, but I could do it 10 times faster! It's fun! And when I saw him the other day, we went outside and basked in the sun while we talked. It's very relaxing. But sometimes it's not so relaxing because sometimes I want to throw rocks at him or try to do something bad to him, and then I start screaming and hide behibnd the couch. It's distressing when that happnes. But what's even more distressing is when he asks me about the parties. That's not good. I'm not allowed to talk about it. And then sometimes I'll start whispering so they won't hear me, and whatever. You know, this whole thing is whatever. Anyway, he just showed me pictures of his two little boys, and they're so beautiful! He's married to a Korean, so they are all Asian looking. So cute! And I'm always bringing him books and magazines for his kids. I love them. The older one just got into Open Window School, a gifted school in Bellevue, and I'm so excited! I love those kids. I love my doctor. I'm very, very lucky to have him. This whole having schizophrenia thing, really does have its perks.

I agree must be studied more.I have been on every psyche drug there is and they are all ineffective and worthless.

Get this,if i take 60 mg of oral prednisone (50 cents a day cost)i am happy and stable.I discovered this when i had bouts of ulcerative colitis and took the steroid to supress inflammation.

The drawback is steroids have a zillion adverse side effects.Cheers,Daniel Haszard

I still take the stand Mike, from my REAL LIFE experience that "special-k" is similar to PCP. Of course like many drugs, Ativan, Xanax, etc this will give patients immediate results. The after effects will be more devistating. I have seen what this drug does to people. Have you ever seen someone on PCP? Similar results. Of course it is going to make a depressed person feel better. The problem is, they are going to need more at a higher dose and it is highly addictive. Most likely causing them to hit the streets in search of higher doses. This is not a good solution. Yes, our current solution with psych meds sucks but be assured out pharma companies are searching for better solutions because they make billions from them.
