August 23, 2006HelloGreetings. As most of you know, I have been slacking off this summer, mostly to recharge my mind after writing entirely too much here since last September. I had planned to be a little bit more back at it by now, but life has interceded in the form of lots of work at my regular reporting gig. And as some of you know, there have been major personnel changes at my paper, detailed and discussed by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer (with quotes from yours truly) and theSeattle Times. As a result of all that, I am still holding off regular posting here. And believe me, I am itching to get back at this. After all, we still have psych meds that don't work too well, a culture of medicine that ignores that, new labels required on ADHD meds, people like Fuller Torrey trying to restrict civil liberties, and a media that is, for the most part, blind to all of this. But I only have so much brain power for one day. Be well. Posted by Philip Dawdy at August 23, 2006 12:01 AM

Hey where's the link to the Club Pot Story? It's excellent and must be added to your articles links, at least in my opinion. I have an opinion regarding free cigarettes vs. psych samples if anyone cares to read that, click on my name. Peace to all, hang in there Philip! Posted by: Stephany at August 25, 2006 08:45 AMI can't get over how great college is. The quality of my life has really improved. The best part is that I'm actually motivated to study. At BCC, I didn't do any work, and it was all just so boring and annoying. Here, I want to master everything. It's really great. I love school once again. Yeah, getting into Honors, being an intern at the Weekly, getting all my writing published, and making the best friendships ever, are the just the greatest things that have ever happened to me. I'm so lucky. Posted by: Gwen at August 26, 2006 12:46 PM |
