I'm Six

So this blog is a few days past its 6-month anniversary. I just note it for what it's worth. In that time, I have written 52,000 words--yeah, I counted--which works out to about 8,600 words a month. In essence, I just wrote a very scattered book-length MS. There will be many posts forthcoming on recent results of the CATIE study's second round, which were released yesterday, as well as a wrap-up of sorts on recent results from the STEP-BD and STAR-D studies and the FDA hearings on ADHD drugs.

For now, however, beer.

Philip, you should SO turn your blog into a book!

I wrote a book, too! I really like to write. Writing is a lot of fun.

And I'm really happy right now, cause I decided I'm going to major in journalism and anthropoly at UW Honors. Woo-hoo! And then, I want to go to Columbia's graduate school of journalism where I could get either an MS or an MA. I'm SO happy! My life is rocking and rolling! SO much better than sitting is some freakin hospital for years on end! I hate the hosptial. There's no way in hell I'm going back!

And also, I want to write for the UW Daily next fall, and also, I'm going to try to get an internship at the Times or PI next summer. It's going to be so much fun! SO much better than stupid hosptials! Yeah, that internship I had at the Seattle Weekly this past summer was the BEST expirience of my life, and now I'm just going to do more and more stuff like that! Life is so much fun! Especially when you're not in the hosptial.

And also, I decided I'm going to graduate suma cum laude from Honors, so it will be really great. This past quarter I did HORRIBLY in my classes, but no more! From now on I'm going to be a REALLY good student! No more failing! Ah, life is good.

And I'm going to live in the Honors dorm and meet all these really talented people, (like you, Philip!) and it's just be a lot of fun. Life is so good!

Oh, and Philip, I have a question: If you took the psychiatry board exam would you pass? I think you would! You read more articles on meds and stuff than anyone!

On to the good life!
