Depression Claims Another Noble Soul
Read this. It ties in nicely--OK, not so nicely--with recent news on stress and depression. I feel for this poor fellow and hope he's able to bounce back at some point.

Poses another question: what is there first? predisposition to mental illness? genetic time bomb waiting for that one big stressor to hit and then explode and steal our life away? Do I sit and wonder when it will take mine? If it is genetic, and I now have 2/3 of my kids on meds for mental health..am I next? is it like a virus? dormant and waiting, like MS or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have been talked about? Does it lie in wait for that one big change in our life? What wires our brain anyway? Some days, I wonder too, as optimistic as my foolish self can be, what the damn hell is the point. I don't think it was the guys job. It is though, or could be possibly, the chronic stress, and work. How to manage. I applaud someone for standing up in front of others and saying this has taken me out though. I wish him well.
