I'll Be Silent For A Few Days

Hi. The last two days have been sad and ugly ones in Seattle, as I noted on Saturday, due to some irrational human shooting up a party in my neighborhood. I am writing and reporting on this saddness. Ergo, I am not going to be posting much of anything until mid-week. My resulting article will be avilable on Tuesday evening at Seattle Weekly. Be well.

The ravers invited Huff because he gave off "bad vibes". Think of it as like the movie "Carrie". Carrie was eventually made prom queen as a kind of elaborate joke. Everybody was in on it but her. This is what this looks like to me. They invited Huff as part of an similar joke. Peace, love, unity, respect (PLUR)? No, just ordinary, banal, tiresome teenage cruelty.

That would be extremely sad if they invited him as a joke. I hope more for 'society' and the people part of it. Carrie was a movie. Now this can be made into one, what a sad, sad commentary on life and who walks the streets, if in fact it was a dare, a cruel twist of fate that he was there...well damned be the ones who played that joke on the dead people.
